In 2018 Codeware, Australia's leading sports consultancy, realised that community sports organisations were looking for a better way to run their games. They wanted to power down their legacy systems and replace them with a turnkey SaaS platform – something with the flexibility to deliver a world-class experience, and the scale to continually innovate. The only problem was, that platform didn't exist... yet.
So we took a leap of faith.
Working side by side with community sports organisations and administrators, we developed a core platform that quickly evolved into PlayHQ.
Today, our technology has become the digital backbone of community sport in Australia and serves nine sports, including cricket, netball, AFL, football, hockey and rugby. Four of the top five national governing bodies for team sports, including the AFL, Cricket Australia, Netball Australia and Basketball Australia, now rely on PlayHQ.
We have also added national governing bodies in New Zealand, the UK and Canada. We have processed more than 11 million registrations and fixtured more than 3.1 million games.
But for us, the game's only just begun.

A brief history
